Care Accolades 2011 – Special Commendation for Investing in the Workforce, Developing Practice.
Calum and Sandra created a Video Enhanced Reflective Practice based course entitled The Art of Effective Communication. This was designed to develop reflective teams in each of the residential units for young people in Dundee. An innovative approach ensured that not only were staff involved in self-assessing their practice skills, but the young people also assessed the skills of the staff.
Recognition was achieved for this work at the 2011 Care Accolades when a Special Commendation was awarded for "Investing in the Workforce, Developing Practice"
